Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

[edit]

The incipit of the Daft Punk song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is "Work it". I consider it "a given word or phrase on which a reader might search" (WP:D). But both ShelfSkewed (talk · contribs) and Clarityfiend (talk · contribs) removed the link to this song. (diff 1, diff 2) Why is this an "odd See also section", as one edit summary said? --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 05:39, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In my case it was mainly because the phrase "work it" appears nowhere in the article. In short, if it's not significant enough to be mentioned in an article, then it's not significant enough to be included on a dab page. Any song might be identified by its first line or another significant lyric, but disambiguation pages are not a lyrics-search engine. The "given word or phrase on which a reader might search" is intended to refer to a name or title that might be given to a particular topic, not to just any related phrase that might be associated with a topic. Now, if "Work It" served as an alternative title for the song, and you could demonstrate that with a reliable source and added the info to the song's article, then the entry would be appropriate here.--ShelfSkewed Talk 16:09, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And I'm guessing the title of a very popular fan video for "HBFS" wouldn't count. --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 02:06, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The video only shows that "Work It" is the title of the video--which credits the song by its correct title--not that "Work It" is an alternative title for the song. But if the video is notable enough for a mention of it to be added to the song's article, then we could list the video on the dab page.--ShelfSkewed Talk 05:29, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
